February and March flew by at record speed – since when did Q1 ever feel any shorter than a year? I guess with so much going on, it's no wonder.

Firstly, February welcomed a new set of four paws (pupdate). Weighing in at a hefty, but healthy 90-pounds is Crash, the newest addition to the fam. A white lab rescue, he is the perfect gentleman (turning a blind eye to the munched TV remotes and library book when I say that). River has already shown Crash the ropes, teaching him the art of mealtime hype jumping and proper toy-catching techniques (aka using his mouth rather than swatting his paws or letting it his snout). And despite the chaos of being smothered in two-times the white fur tumbleweeds, I am nothing short of in love with our little fam.

Beautiful Bermuda Views

In March, I carved out some PTO for a week-long getaway to Bermuda (my first time there)! Bottomless snacks and bevvies? Check. Paddleboarding on crystal clear, coral-filled waters? Check. Soaking in high UVs and finishing my tenth book of the year? Check. But do you want to know my guiltiest pleasure of being on vacation? Disconnecting. No mindless scrolling, no internet, no emails, no being tied to a 6" screen. Heaven. Later this year, I plan on island-hopping with family to check off more destinations from my bucket list. The anticipation has already set in and the countdown is definitely on.

On the professional front, I've managed to secure four(!!!!) new freelance opportunities (don't mind me just crossing off my bingo board squares like it's no one's business). From corporate identity to invitations to event calligraphy, I'm scratching all of the itches I had when 2024 first rolled around. I can't wait to share these projects and am hopeful for more opportunities in Q2.

Anyway, just wanted to show face (show existence?) and share a glimpse into what has transpired since I last blogged.

TLDR; New dog, new island, new clients, same sense of gratitude.
